The seaside resort of Pénéstin is known for its attractive inlets and wide sweeping beaches, such as the Mine d'Or beach with its splendid orange-coloured cliffs. Kerfahler campsite is the place to stay if you want to go shellfish-gathering, practice watersports and watch the sun go down. Set in a peaceful location with access to waymarked footpaths and cycle trails, the site has 135 pitches, half of which are occupied by mobile homes. There is free wifi and the campsite has a heated pool that's a great favourite with the kids, a large entertainments room, and electric bikes for hire. Do what the locals do and treat yourselves to a catamaran trip, dig for clams or go for a walk along the 'Sentier des Douaniers' coast path (the Customs Officers' Path). There's a great beach just 300 metres away. At the end of the road, the Brière marshes are the other place you simply must visit during your holiday at Pénestin.
