It's the ever cheerful double act of the Chauvins, father and son, that warms the heart in the Camping la Roche Percée. It is close to the sea looking out to Beg-Meil, and the Glénan archipelago, a beautiful bird sanctuary, out in the Atlantic off Concarneau. Apart from tasting the sardines for which the town is famous, the walled town, accessible via the little ferry-boat, or ‘bac’, is a must on the visit list. Back at the campsite, it's straight into the heated pool (28°C), with slides for the children and aqua gym for the parents (yes, Dad too). And as evening falls, after a friendly aperitif with the neighbours, relax and enjoy one of the theme evenings, with typical Breton folk singers for example.
