Built at the height of Brittany's golden age, at the end of the 16th century, by the Barbier family, Château de Kerjean surpasses the finest residences in the region. Both a fortress and a symbol of the Renaissance in Brittany, it was strongly influenced by Italian architects. At the time, it was a local benchmark from which the builders of the surrounding churches and parish enclosures drew inspiration. Galleries, private flats, kitchens... no fewer than 25 rooms, some of them recently restored and equipped with surprising multimedia displays, tell the story of the place. Each year, a temporary exhibition explores a Renaissance theme.
