This 17th century gothic manor house, the Château des Rochers, was once the Brittany residence of Madame de Sévigné. The L-shaped building, with its two towers, is where the Marquise wrote most of her famous letters to her daughter, Françoise de Sévigné, Countess of Grignan. In the chapel and parts of the manor house you’ll find family portraits and objects belonging to the ‘marquise’.
