After all, what other festival can boast of putting The Stooges, Hugues Aufray and Suprême NTM on the same stage? Had punks singing at the top of their lungs to Pierre Perret's Zizi? Here, we apologise when we get in each other's way. And Moustaki lovers - yes, sir! - also dance to Noir Désir's Tostaki. Here - yes ma'am! - you can dance to a gavotte just as easily as you can to Iggy Pop.
Created in 1992 by a group of friends, including the current mayor of Carhaix, Michel Troadec, to "have a good meal, sing and have a drink", the Vieilles Charrues are still ploughing the same furrow. The witnesses to the (s)cene are just a little more numerous...
