The port of Roscoff specialises in fishing for bass, turbot and monkfish, and its flotilla of 90 or so fishing boats drop anchor at the port’s fish market where the price of the fish is fixed according to the day's catch. On the first floor of the building you’ll find a gallery (90 m²) where you can follow the journey of the fish from their capture all the way to your plate. A documentary film, an exhibition and a guide explain all there is to know about the fishing industry, the species, trades and know-how associated with the sea. A kids’ corner familiarises younger family members with sea life. The high point of the visit is the glass corridor that offers a panoramic view of the selection process and the preparation for the following day’s fish auctions.
