Facing the sea, between the lighthouse and a ruined abbey, the Hostellerie de la Pointe Saint-Mathieu welcomes guests from all over the world, in search of quiet, wellbeing and sea air. Visitors to Finistère Point, hikers who enjoy their creature comforts, and couples looking to escape, can all rest comfortably in one of the 25 spacious, sunny rooms, relax in the spa and heated indoor pool, and savour the warmth of the restaurant with its imposing stone fireplace. It is here that Philippe serves an inventive seafood cuisine, with a fine wine-list. And his succession is assured: his daughter, Nolwenn, is studying at the Bocuse Institute (top chef Paul Bocuse’s catering school).
