BDS stands for "Bar des sports", in a nod to the former bar that occupied the premises in the heart of Saint-Pierre-Quiberon. BDS stands for "Bar des sports", in a nod to the former bar that occupied the premises in the heart of Saint-Pierre-Quiberon. The new owners, Camille Joly, Valentine Carcano and Paul Perrault, have also kept the orange benches and the "village bistro" feel. Behind the L-shaped counter, Valentine concocts seasonal cuisine based on "well-chosen" local produce. The recipes are often iodised (but not exclusively) and quite plant-based, with a strong emphasis on condiments and aromatic herbs. On the menu: clams from the Gulf (of Morbihan) stuffed with ginger-tarragon butter, gravlax of salmon or more local fish, small leeks with gribiche sauce, gurnard with shallot cream, beurre blanc with verbena and triquètre garlic, confit of pork loin with glazed vegetables and beetroot cooking juice... The wines are 100% live. The west-facing terrace is perfect for an aperitif in the sunshine!
